Olamide Unveils Surprise Project ‘Ikigai’ Featuring Asake and Fireboy

In a surprising development, Olamide revealed his new project, ‘Ikigai,’ on June 26, 2024, following a surprise performance at Davido and Chioma’s wedding. The 7-track EP, named after the Japanese concept meaning “reason for being” or “life’s purpose,” features YBNL stars Fireboy and Asake on the track ‘Uptown Disco.’ Additionally, Olamide collaborates with former YBNL associates Pheelz, Young Jonn, and Lil Kesh on ‘Synchro System.’

Prior to the announcement, Olamide teased ‘Hello Habibi’ on Instagram, which is also part of the EP. This project comes as a surprise since Olamide hinted in 2023 that his last album ‘Unruly’ might be his final release. ‘Ikigai’ will be Olamide’s 10th solo project and 15th overall, continuing his legacy of hit records in Nigerian music. Fans are eagerly anticipating the YBNL reunion showcased in ‘Ikigai,’ set for release on June 26.

Wizkid Sets Record as Most Awarded Nigerian at NAACP Image Awards

Wizkid and Davido have added new accolades to their names at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards.

The winners for the 56th edition of the prestigious award were revealed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Wizkid secured a win in the ‘Outstanding Duo Group or Collaboration’ category for his song with Brent Faiyaz.

This marks his sixth NAACP Image Award, making him the most awarded Nigerian artist in the history of the event.

Davido also claimed victory, winning ‘Outstanding International Song’ for his collaboration with Chris Brown. Meanwhile, Tems, Burna Boy, and other Nigerian artists were nominated but didn’t take home awards in their categories.

The NAACP Image Awards, organized by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, celebrate excellence in arts and media, recognizing outstanding contributions from artists worldwide.

Nedu Clears the Air on Leaving The Honest Bunch Podcast

Nigerian media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, known as Nedu, has spoken out about his exit from The Honest Bunch podcast.

His departure followed backlash over a recent episode featuring reality star Deeone, who claimed that social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) was attracted to men.

In response, VDM accused Nedu of fueling the allegations, stating that the podcaster had been trying to get him on the show since 2024 and even offered to buy him a car as an incentive.

Despite the controversy, Nedu announced he was leaving the podcast, sparking rumors that he had been fired. Addressing the speculation at a press briefing in Lagos, he clarified that his decision was voluntary.

“I wasn’t fired from The Honest Bunch Podcast. I stepped away when the attacks got personal so the show could continue,” he explained.

ASAP Rocky and Rihanna Win Big in Court And Vow to Name Next Child After Lawyer

Hollywood Couple Rihanna and ASAP Rocky joyfully celebrate the ending of his lawsuit and claim to name their next child after the lawyer.

After the court reading, the lawyer, Joe Tacopina, recalled the events that occurred in the court to the media, Extra.

The lawyer stated that the couple joyfully grabbed him after hearing the first reading. “They grabbed me and they said, Listen, our next baby ASAP Joe.” Tacopina responded to the couple “I’m going to hold you to that”.

Tacopina also recalled that he was worried at first because the rapper started celebrating too early, only after the first count.

He shared that he was worried the second count might not be good. He eventually became relieved after the second count was also went well.

At the Owen of the trial, Tacopina stated that ASAP Rocky expressed his gratitude for the lawyer’s help and thanked him once again.
