PDP Celebrates as Asue Holds Strong Lead with 98% of Edo Election Results
With around 98% of the election results uploaded, the PDP’s Asue Ighodalo holds a lead of about 29,000 votes over the APC. Only 2% of the results, from a few remaining polling units, are yet to be uploaded.
The PDP has already received the result sheets from these polling units, which include details on accredited voters, total votes cast, and voided ballots.
According to the PDP Situation Room in Edo State, their collation and computation are complete, with the remaining INEC uploads being seen as just a formality.
This confidence has led to a Thanksgiving Service currently taking place in the PDP camp.
Notably, the number of registered and accredited voters in the last 2% of polling units is less than 29,000, and with the likelihood of some voided votes and voters choosing other parties, the PDP’s lead seems secure.

Analyst Says Tinubu Not Responsible for Recent U.S.-Linked Airstrike Claims
Nigerian news analyst, Mahmud Jega, has shared his opinion on the recent airstrike carried out by the United States in Nigeria, stating that Nigerians should not blame President Bola Tinubu for the incident.
Jega made this statement during a recent interview, where he said he does not believe many people will hold the Tinubu administration responsible, as Donald Trump had issued threats against Nigeria long before Tinubu’s administration.
“No, I don’t think many people will blame the Tinubu administration for what is happening now because President Donald Trump, when he first made the threats, it was clearly not in coordination with the Tinubu administration or the government of Nigeria,” Jega said.
