Nigerian musician Portable has urged crossdresser Bobrisky to seek forgiveness and reconsider his lifestyle following recent controversies surrounding him.

This advice came after Bobrisky revealed that he was experiencing suicidal thoughts due to a N15 million bribery scandal involving himself and some officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The scandal came to light after social media critic, VeryDarkMan, shared a leaked audio clip on Instagram.

In the recording, Bobrisky allegedly recounted events from his four-month imprisonment and implicated EFCC officials in bribery.

He further claimed that singer Falz contacted him, offering to help secure a presidential pardon through his father, the renowned human rights lawyer, Femi Falana.

The leaked audio ignited a public uproar and led to widespread calls for a thorough investigation into the allegations of corruption within the EFCC and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

Amid the growing pressure, Bobrisky took to his social media page on Thursday to express his distress and suicidal thoughts.

Reacting to Bobrisky’s emotional post, Portable shared a video on Instagram, advising the crossdresser against taking his own life.

He encouraged Bobrisky to seek forgiveness from God and to turn his life around.

In his message, Portable said, “Bobrisky, life is risky. God doesn’t want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. If you die as a sinner, you are going to hell. Beg God to forgive you.”

Portable emphasized that repentance could bring Bobrisky peace and a new beginning.

He urged his followers to join him in encouraging Bobrisky to ask for divine forgiveness and to embrace a path of redemption.

Bobrisky’s legal troubles began earlier this year when he was sentenced to four months in prison on April 12, 2024, for his involvement in the abuse of the Nigerian currency, the naira.

The sentence sparked significant controversy and debate, with many questioning the fairness of the judgment and the circumstances leading to his imprisonment.

As the public continues to react to the unfolding events, Portable’s call for repentance and forgiveness adds a new dimension to the conversation, focusing on the importance of spiritual and personal growth in the face of adversity.
