President Ruto Vows to End Ongoing Protests and Restore Peace and Stability in Kenya
President William Ruto has pledged to stop the ongoing protests and restore peace and stability in Kenya.
Speaking after a church service in Bomet County, Ruto emphasized his administration’s commitment to protecting the nation, its people, and property from looters and anarchists.
He highlighted the government’s concessions, including rejecting the Finance Bill 2024 and dismissing nearly the entire Cabinet, in response to the demands of the Gen Z protesters.
Despite these efforts, protests persist, leading Ruto to call for an end to the unrest and emphasize the importance of national unity and democratic resolution of issues.

Minister of Budget Says Nigeria Needs More Resources to Fund Its Population
The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning for Nigeria, Senator Abubakar Bagudu, shared that the budget Nigeria currently has is too small for the population the country contains.
Speaking on the budget, he said “I would like to say that out of the top 10 most populous countries in the world, we have the smallest national budget.
“Should we continue with a budget that leaves our populace with one of the smallest budgets, or should we consider how we can mobilise more resources?”
