Reno Omokri Criticizes Peter Obi for Not Stepping Aside in 2023 Presidential Election

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide and supporter of Atiku Abubakar, has criticized Peter Obi for not stepping aside in the 2023 Nigerian Presidential election.

Omokri compared Obi’s actions to Joe Biden’s recent decision to step aside, suggesting that Obi’s participation divided the opposition, ultimately leading to PDP’s loss to APC.

Omokri expressed regret over making Obi Atiku’s running mate in 2019 and accused Obi of being greedy and ambitious. He also criticized Obi’s governance in Anambra and challenged him to contest in 2027.

Omoyele Sowore speaks on the NDLEA after its action of destroying cannabis farms in Edo State.

He shared “It is idiotic that NDLEA put on uniforms, march into farms, and set economically viable crops worth millions of dollars ablaze while your country is drowning in multidimensional poverty.”

“Stop destroying cannabis farms. Stop wasting enormous economic opportunities in the name of a failed and outdated policy,” he tweeted.

Imo State Bans Street Trading and Hawking Along Major Roads

It has been reported that the Imo State Government has banned street trading and hawking along major roads in the state.

The government directed traders, business operators, truck owners, drivers and other affected persons to relocate their activities to approved markets, designated trading areas and lawful loading points.

“Traders, business operators, truck owners, drivers, and other affected persons have been directed to relocate their activities to approved markets, designated trading areas, and lawful loading points.”

They added that violation of these rules calls for disciplinary action and arrest.

President Tinubu Speaks on CNG Benefits and Calls for Relief for Commuters

President Bola Tinubu speaks on CNG in Nigeria and shares how the benefits from it aren’t even helping the government but are going into the pockets of truck owners.

While speaking on his promise to help the refinery and the removal of the fuel subsidy to better the country, he spoke on CNG:

“Equally, the introduction of compressed natural gas — well, I will appeal to you: we will do more and encourage you, but ask your drivers to let the benefits trickle down to commuters too, because whatever benefit is coming from CNG is going into the pockets of truck owners. It’s not spreading as fast as I would like, but it should spread.

“The refineries you mentioned are going to come back to work. We’re just building a very firm reset and structural reworking of the economics of it.”
