The initiative, announced on Monday via a statement on X by Prof. Muhammad Pate, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, represents a thorough and strategic approach to managing and potentially reversing the trend of healthcare professionals leaving the country.

This policy is designed to not only manage the current migration rates but also to capitalize on the existing workforce and create conditions that may encourage health workers to remain in Nigeria.
