Reno Omokri reacts to viral debate and outcry from Nigerians over later singer, Nanyah, who passed away from lack of health care after a snake bite.

Nigerians cried that the singer could be saved, but because of lack of care she passed from a snake bite.

Omokri then reacts and stated that healthcare needs to be funded by taxes for them to be able to provide for any case, stating that hospitals cannot treat people without insurance because of legal issues.

“One thing Nigerians have to understand is that healthcare is not charity, and hospitals are not non-profit organisations. If you have a medical emergency and you do not have health insurance or funds to pay out of pocket, and cannot provide a financial guarantor, it will be risky for any private hospital to treat you.”
