Rita Edochie Criticizes False Death Rumors About Osita Iheme, Pawpaw
Nollywood veteran Rita Edochie has voiced her frustration over the recurring death rumors surrounding her colleague, Osita Iheme, also known as Pawpaw.
The actress expressed her disbelief that such rumors continue to spread, most recently claiming the popular actor had passed away.
Edochie revealed that this was the second time she had encountered such false reports about Pawpaw, and what upset her even more was that many fans believed the fabricated news and posted condolences in the comment sections.
In a heartfelt and detailed Instagram post, Edochie reflected on how these death rumors have become all too common in the entertainment industry, particularly targeting actors.
She pointed out that the spread of these false stories isn’t just limited to Pawpaw but has also affected her personally.
Edochie recalled a previous instance when a photo of her taken on a movie set was misused to fuel a death rumor about her.
“This rumor has surfaced before,” Edochie wrote.
“Just a few days ago, it came up again, with pictures of my great son and veteran colleague Osita Iheme, known as Pawpaw, trending on social media with captions claiming he was dead.
Sadly, many people fell for the fake news and began commenting ‘RIP’ as if it were true.”
