Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s star forward, has hinted that the recent 2-0 victory over Manchester City could be his final appearance against the reigning champions at Anfield, with his future at the club still uncertain.

The Egyptian international played a pivotal role in securing the three points for Liverpool, setting up Cody Gakpo for the opening goal before confidently converting a penalty in the second half to seal the win.

This impressive result pushed Jurgen Klopp’s side to a commanding nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League, leaving Manchester City 11 points behind.

Salah’s performance was a testament to his skill and leadership on the pitch, but off the field, his contract situation is starting to become a topic of conversation once again.

With his current deal expiring at the end of the season, many fans and pundits have been speculating about his future with the Reds.

After the game, Salah was once again asked about his plans moving forward.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he shared that he is currently reflecting on his future. “Honestly, it’s in my head,” he said.

“Until now, this is the last City game I will play for Liverpool, so I was just going to enjoy it. The atmosphere was incredible, so I will enjoy every second here.”

Salah, who has been one of Liverpool’s most important players since joining the club in 2017, did not shy away from expressing his excitement for the season ahead, but also left his future open-ended.“Hopefully, we just win the league and will see what will happen,” he added.

The 2-0 win over Manchester City is significant not only for the points it adds to Liverpool’s tally but also for the psychological boost it gives the team in their ongoing title challenge.
