Senator Abba Moro Says PDP Is Getting Ready to Win m in the 2027 Elections
Senator Abba Moro, representing Benue South and serving as the Senate Minority Leader, has voiced strong support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as it works to rebuild and prepare for the 2027 general elections. Speaking at the party’s 99th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Tuesday, May 27, 2027, in Abuja, Moro said PDP lawmakers in the National Assembly fully back the efforts of the party’s leadership, including the National Working Committee, Board of Trustees, governors, and other key figures.
“We believe in the plans being rolled out by our leaders. These activities will lead us to a successful national convention,” he said. Moro was optimistic about the future of the party, urging members and supporters to stay hopeful. “There’s no better time to remind Nigerians that the PDP is coming back,” he said with confidence.
While acknowledging that the party has lost some members recently, he described those defections as only short-term challenges, insisting that the PDP still holds the strongest nationwide presence. He reminded the gathering of how the party started with just 16 individuals determined to shape Nigeria’s democratic future, and encouraged everyone to remain united and focused. “Nigeria needs an alternative,” Moro said. “And that alternative is the PDP.”
Spiritual leader Primate Elijah Ayodele warns the APC against being too confident ahead of the 2027 election.
He shared “Overconfidence will kill APC; they will be too overconfident, and that will be the party’s weakness in the election. They will turn Tinubu to a demi-god, but it will make them lose the election. They believe money can do everything, but it will fail in the 2027 election,” Ayodele said.
Ayodele has repeatedly warned the APC not to assume that its current political strength will automatically translate into victory in 2027.
Politician Atiku Abubakar claims that President Bola Tinubu is 90 and says he can prove it.
He shared in a recent interview that he has evidence and can prove it, while also stating that he can serve Nigeria better and sharing how he has the qualities to be Nigeria’s leader.
“You have a President who is 90 years old now and sick and I am healthy and strong. So why won’t I make myself available to serve my country?”
“You went and voted for someone who is 80, I mean 90 years old. How old is President Bola, 90?”
Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose speaks on the upcoming election and shares that it has basically started now with who the people support.
While backing Peter Obi, he shared “2027 election campaign has officially kicked off. I’m happy because it’s time to take our country back. Recall that President Tinubu once told us that if he doesn’t provide electricity, we should not vote for him. APC is a failed government. Let’s start a door-to-door campaign for Mr Peter Obi. The (OK) ticket is all we want.”
He urged Nigerians to start showing their support and vote.
