In a significant turn of events, media personality Serah Ibrahim has come forward with documents that challenge the long-standing narrative surrounding the deaths at the Lekki Tollgate during the 2020 #EndSARS protests.

For years, the Lagos State government denied any fatalities that occurred during this critical moment in Nigeria’s history.

However, Ibrahim’s recent disclosures suggest otherwise, indicating that the government offered a staggering ₦100 million in compensation to the families of those injured or killed in the protests.

This revelation raises important questions about the government’s accountability and transparency in handling the protests that aimed to address police brutality and systemic injustice.

The documents released by Ibrahim not only highlight the financial compensation but also reflect the deep emotional and social scars left by the protests.

As public discussions around the #EndSARS protests resurface, the implications of Ibrahim’s findings could resonate throughout Nigerian society, reigniting calls for justice and reform.

The Lagos State government’s previous denials have now come under scrutiny, prompting a renewed examination of the events that transpired on that fateful night.

Stay tuned as we continue to follow this developing story, which promises to shed light on a critical chapter of Nigeria’s recent history and the ongoing struggle for justice and accountability.
