Shehu Sani Writes Message to Future Generations on War and Hardship
On Monday, former Kaduna State senator Shehu Sani shared a reflective message directed at future generations, calling the present era one of struggle, war, and hardship.
In a post on his Facebook page, Sani reached out to the people of the distant year 2099, writing as though he were speaking across generations.
“Hello, the people of 2099,” he began, expressing an understanding that he and his contemporaries will not be there to witness the future or to know the challenges and triumphs of the next century.
His message captured the uncertainties and struggles of the current generation while acknowledging that no one can predict whether future times will be kinder or harsher.
“Our time is a time of war and hardships,” he wrote, reflecting the difficult social, economic, and political environment facing many today.
In a somber yet hopeful tone, Sani asked that, if future generations ever come across his or his peers’ graves, they pause to remove the grasses and say a prayer for those who endured these hardships.
He added, however, that he isn’t sure if people of the future will even remember or have time to think of those from the past.
Sani concluded with an affectionate farewell, imagining himself speaking from “the peace of Heaven,” and reminded readers that the essence of his time could still be discovered through the digital footprints and writings left behind.

Analyst Says Tinubu Not Responsible for Recent U.S.-Linked Airstrike Claims
Nigerian news analyst, Mahmud Jega, has shared his opinion on the recent airstrike carried out by the United States in Nigeria, stating that Nigerians should not blame President Bola Tinubu for the incident.
Jega made this statement during a recent interview, where he said he does not believe many people will hold the Tinubu administration responsible, as Donald Trump had issued threats against Nigeria long before Tinubu’s administration.
“No, I don’t think many people will blame the Tinubu administration for what is happening now because President Donald Trump, when he first made the threats, it was clearly not in coordination with the Tinubu administration or the government of Nigeria,” Jega said.
