Simi acknowledged that her statements might have seemed out of touch or boastful, but emphasized that she struggles with staying current on various trends, not just music. She also expressed disappointment that her informal comments were taken out of context and criticized for being misleading. Despite the backlash, Simi is moving on and focusing on her music.
