Speed Darlington Says Burna Boy Faked Scandal to Prove He Isn’t Gay
Speed Darlington has weighed in on the ongoing controversy involving Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje, claiming the entire saga was staged.
The drama started after an audio recording leaked, where Sophia accused Burna Boy of having an affair with her and failing to buy her a Lamborghini as promised. The situation quickly became a hot topic on Nigerian social media.
However, Speed Darlington believes there’s more to the story. In a video posted on Instagram, he alleged that Burna Boy orchestrated the scandal to convince people he isn’t gay. He even doubled down on his past claim that Burna’s Grammy win was linked to an affair with American music mogul Diddy.
“You’re stressing yourself trying to prove to everyone that you’re not gay,” Speed Darlington said. “You and that girl planned this. You knew it would damage your name, but you paid her to act like an escort so people would believe you like women. If you’re gay, just own it.”
