The Super Eagles of Nigeria had an incredible victory as they defeated Gabon 4–1 in the 2026 World Cup playoff semi-final held on November 13, 2025.

The match started tough, with both teams struggling to score in the first half. Gabon later found an equalizer that pushed the game into extra time after Nigeria’s earlier lead.

However, the Super Eagles came back stronger in extra time, scoring three more goals to seal their win. The goals came from Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke, and Victor Osimhen, who netted twice to secure Nigeria’s place in the final stage of the African playoffs.

Nigerians all over the country celebrated the big win and applauds the team on their win and efforts displayed.
