Pop star Tate McRae recently recounted a memorable jet skiing adventure with her boyfriend, The Kid LAROI, where they had a close encounter with a whale.

During her appearance on *The Capital Evening Show* on October 9, McRae expressed surprise at the experience, admitting, “I didn’t realize what I was getting myself into.” After falling into the water, they found themselves about “10 feet away” from the whale, which McRae described as the highlight of their trip.

She also shared her discomfort with the ocean, calling it “freaky.” The couple, who sparked dating rumors earlier this year, made their relationship Instagram official for McRae’s 21st birthday. LAROI celebrated her birthday with a heartfelt post and surprised her by performing a duet during her concert at Madison Square Garden, where they shared a kiss on stage. They later enjoyed a date night in New York City’s NoHo neighborhood.
