The actress explained that excessive protection may not help children, as they may not learn how to cope with or adjust to life’s challenges. She reflected on her own approach to parenting and said “The fastest way to ruin a child’s life is to say you don’t want them to suffer the way you did.”

Omowunmi Dada Opens Up About Ending Relationship Over Religious Differences
Nigerian actress Omowunmi Dada speaks on her relationship and shares that she ended her relationship due to their different beliefs. Her partner was Islamic, and she is Christian.
“I dated someone who, when I met him, was a Christian, and then sometime later Ramadan started and he said he was fasting. I said why, and he said because that is what would make his mom happy. Being a Muslim is what would make his mom happy. There and then, I knew I couldn’t be with him.
“I have nothing against Muslims; I have Muslim friends who are amazing people, by the way. But for the kind of family that I want to raise, I would love to raise my children the Christian way. I want to be able to hold hands with my husband in one faith, in unity as a family.”
