Toke Makinwa has denied rumors that she married entertainment guru Farouk Umar during her 40th birthday Thanksgiving celebration in Lagos. The speculation began after photos and videos emerged of the two in matching all-white outfits, appearing affectionate.

In response, Toke clarified that she is not remarried and emphasized their friendship. She said, “On Obasanjo’s internet, they say I married this guy. This guy is my best friend. Listen, on Toke Makinwa’s internet, they claim I married Farouk. Farouk is my friend and brother—who wants to marry you? He supported me when I had no one.”

He added “The goal was to give creatives a platform to showcase their work, not to undermine their value.”
