Tyla Clears Up VMAs Feud Rumors
Tyla has addressed rumors of a feud with Halle Bailey following their interactions at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. On September 11, Tyla received the Moonperson for Best Afrobeats from Bailey and Lil Nas X. After making a lighthearted comment about the trophy being too heavy, some fans speculated that she was deliberately avoiding Bailey.
Tyla later took to social media to clarify, stating, “Y’all make everything weird. I was not dissing Halle. We’re just girls.” She added, “STFU I WON A VMAAAA.”
In her acceptance speech, Tyla expressed gratitude and highlighted the global impact of her song “Water,” emphasizing the diversity within African music beyond just Afrobeats.
Nigerian Fuji artist Shanko Rasheed Atanda sadly reports the loss of his first son, Jamaldeen Atanda.
