The singer took to his social media page and wrote: ‘This Year’ by Jaywon had more viral moments and cultural impact than some of the tracks Billboard ranked. It has been trending since 2012 and is still relevant today. Who else has achieved that? Hate is inevitable. Year after year, both gospel and Afrobeats singers copy the same vibe, but we remain unshaken. I’ll say it again: no song on that list has more cultural impact than #ThisYear by Jaywon.”

Nigerian Singer, Lil Kesh Allegedly Escapes Death After Robbery Attack in Lagos

It has been reported that Nigerian singer, Lil Kesh, allegedly escaped death after he was robbed in Lagos on August 20, 2025.
According to reports, the singer was stabbed in the neck during the robbery and was dispossessed of his jewelry and other expensive items.
However, no official statement has been released as the Lagos State Police Command is yet to confirm the incident.
