Vinicius Equals Ronaldo’s Goals at Real Madrid and Says It’s a Dream Come True

Vinicius Jr. has hit a major career milestone by matching Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazário’s goal tally at Real Madrid. The 23-year-old forward netted his 104th goal for the club during their 2-1 loss to Valencia, drawing level with his idol.
Despite the disappointing result, Vinicius expressed pride in the personal achievement. Speaking after the game, he called it a special moment and reflected on the influence Ronaldo had on him when he first arrived at the club.
“It means a lot to me to reach the same number of goals as Ronaldo,” he said. “He was my role model when I joined Madrid as a kid. This was a tough match, but at Real Madrid, we never stop fighting.”
Earlier in January, Vinicius had mentioned that he was just a few goals shy of matching Ronaldo’s record. Now that he’s done it, he’s setting his sights even higher and hopes to keep scoring more for the club.
The defeat to Valencia, however, dealt a blow to Madrid’s title hopes, with the team needing to bounce back quickly in the coming fixtures.

Roy Keane Says Ruben Amorim is Shocked By How Bad Man United Are

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane didn’t hold back after the club’s 4-1 loss to Newcastle, saying manager Ruben Amorim might not have realised just how poor the squad really is.
Newcastle dominated the match, with goals from Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimarães, and a brace from Harvey Barnes. Alejandro Garnacho’s equaliser was the only bright moment for United, who now sit 14th on the Premier League table.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane said Amorim must be baffled by the level of performance from his players.
“He’s probably scratching his head right now,” Keane said. “He can’t come out and say it, but I don’t think he knew just how bad this team really is. The mistakes they’re making, the lack of energy — it’s shocking.”
Keane also suggested that the Premier League might be proving tougher than Amorim expected.
“He’s done his research, sure, but I think this league has caught him off guard. He’s walked into a mess and probably didn’t see it coming.”

Giroud Says Pogba Might Stay in Europe and Not Join Messi at Inter Miami

Olivier Giroud doesn’t see Paul Pogba heading to Inter Miami to join Lionel Messi anytime soon, despite the growing rumors.
Giroud, who shared the pitch with Pogba during their time with the French national team, spoke on the midfielder’s next move after his doping suspension was lifted earlier this year.
Pogba has been a free agent since January and has recently been linked to a move to MLS, particularly Inter Miami. However, Giroud thinks otherwise.
The ex-Arsenal and Chelsea forward, now playing for Los Angeles FC after leaving AC Milan this season, shared his thoughts in an interview with Telefoot.
“It was great to see him again,” Giroud said. “But honestly, I feel like he still wants to stay in Europe. I think that’s where his ambition lies.”
Pogba’s next club is still uncertain, but if Giroud’s take is anything to go by, the 32-year-old might not be ready to cross the Atlantic just yet.

“We Made a Lot of Mistakes” – Amorim Says After 4–1 Loss to Newcastle

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim admitted his team fell short after a disappointing 4–1 loss to Newcastle on Sunday.
The Red Devils endured their 14th Premier League defeat of the season at St James’ Park, struggling to match the energy and precision of the home side.
Sandro Tonali got Newcastle off to a strong start, but Garnacho brought United back into it with an equalizer. That hope didn’t last, though, as Harvey Barnes netted twice and Bruno Guimarães added another to put the game out of reach.
After the match, Amorim didn’t sugarcoat the performance. “We made too many mistakes,” he said. “Newcastle were better, especially with second balls. It’s not just one thing. It’s hard enough facing a strong side like this, but when we help them with our own errors, it gets even worse.”
Despite the setback, Amorim urged his team to shift focus. “We know we’re capable of doing better. What happened today can’t happen again on Thursday.”
