Virginia Man Charged with Death Threats Against Vice President Harris

Frank Lucio Carillo, a Virginia resident, has been charged with making death threats against Vice President Kamala Harris and appeared in federal court on Monday.

According to court records, Carillo made numerous threats on the right-wing social media platform Gettr, targeting Vice President Harris, President Joe Biden, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and several Arizona officials.

The FBI uncovered 4,359 posts from Carillo, many of which contained graphic and violent language.

In his posts, Carillo threatened to cut out Harris’s eyes and expressed hopes for her to endure a “slow agonizing death.” He also made Islamophobic remarks, encouraging violence against Muslims.

When FBI agents arrived at Carillo’s home, he admitted to making the posts and acknowledged his need for legal representation.

Federal agents confiscated two firearms from his residence: a pistol purchased in 2023 and a rifle bought this year.

It can be noted that the suspect was pleading, claiming he had been framed and deceived, and said he would lead them to the right place.

However, while he was pleading, the police officer shot him. The officer later stated that the suspect was armed with a gun.

It was later revealed that the police officer has been arrested, as it is against the law to shoot a restrained suspect.
