Yinka Alaseyori Apologises After Backlash Over Oyo State Abduction Comments
Nigerian gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori has reacted to the backlash she received after her comments on the abduction of teachers and students in Oyo State.
It can be noted that the singer had claimed that spiritual influences were affecting efforts to rescue the victims.
“I did a video two days ago about the kidnapped children, touching on government, parastatals and every agency. But when I woke up yesterday, I found out that some well-meaning Nigerians were not happy about it, as I made them feel their voices were unheard.”
“You know me too well that I would never make you feel like that. Mothers, do not be offended. I am sorry. I beg in God’s name. Please, forgive me. I would never think like that. Pardon and forgive me,” she said.

Many contestants have returned to social media, reposting fan edits, behind-the-scenes moments, and funny clips from their time on the show. However, one Islander fans are still waiting to hear from is Melanie.
The reason for the curiosity stems from ongoing online speculation surrounding her villa partner, Sincere. Some viewers have questioned aspects of his identity and authenticity, leading many fans to wonder how Melanie will respond once she returns online.
Others have defended Melanie, saying she should not be judged for the choices she made in the villa and deserves time to process everything herself. The conversation has grown so large that several brands have publicly joked about supporting her should she decide to move on.

‘A Marriage Is in Danger When the Wife Earns More’ — Kingsley Okonkwo
Relationship coach Kingsley Okonkwo has sparked debate after sharing his views on marriages where the wife earns more than the husband.
According to him, such marriages can face challenges because of differences in expectations between men and women.
He said “When a woman earns more, the marriage is in danger because many women are wired to see themselves as receivers. The moment she starts earning more and feels her husband can no longer do anything significant for her, resentment begins to build.”
He added “If you ask the average responsible man why he works, he will say it’s to take care of his family. But when you ask many women, they don’t see it that way; they work mainly to take care of themselves.”
His comments have generated mixed reactions online.
