EFCC Warns Comedians Against Unauthorized Use of Uniforms
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a fresh warning to comedians and skit makers regarding the unauthorized use of its uniforms and operational gear in their content. In a statement on its X (formerly Twitter) account, the agency emphasized that any improper use of its uniforms will result in strict penalties.
The warning comes after an old video titled “EFCC and Army Wahala” has resurfaced on social media, portraying the agency in a negative light. The EFCC reiterated that such content misrepresents its operatives, who are trained professionals committed to decency and respect. The agency condemned the video for depicting its personnel as bullies and urged skit makers to refrain from using its insignia and equipment without permission.
