Actor Saidi Balogun Speaks on Causes of Lagos Flood After Heavy Rainfall
Nigerian actor, Saidi Balogun, reacts to the recent flood in Lagos after heavy rainfall from September 8 to September 9, 2025.
It can be noted that after the heavy rainfall, there have been reports and complaints of flooding in different areas of Lagos, to which the actor reacted and shared his thoughts on the cause.
“We are the government, and we are the ones doing this to ourselves. Because they dumped refuse into the gutter—look at Ikorodu Road, people have blocked the gutter. We even saw some people at Maryland, but we couldn’t record it. Throwing dustbins into the gutter blocks the drainage.”

In a recent interview with Korty EO, the singer shared that it was against his father to pursue music. His mother then recalled how he came to turn them down on studying abroad and stated he wanted to stay and learn in Nigeria.
The singer studied performing arts at OAU.
