Bart Johnson Defends Blake Lively in Film Drama
Bart Johnson, Blake Lively’s brother-in-law, has spoken out amid the controversy surrounding Lively’s involvement in the film *It Ends With Us*.
After Johnson posted a birthday tribute to Lively, a fan criticized her for “promoting happiness in a domestic violence setting” without considering victims. Johnson quickly defended Lively, stating that the truth about the film’s message has not been fully revealed yet. He emphasized how hard Lively worked on the project, which she felt was deeply meaningful.
Johnson, who is married to Lively’s sister Robyn, acknowledged that mistakes may have been made but defended Lively’s intentions and efforts. He also responded graciously to the fan, expressing respect for their views. The controversy comes as the film, based on Colleen Hoover’s book, deals with sensitive themes of domestic violence, with Lively playing the lead role. Reports of tension between Lively and her co-star and director Justin Baldoni have also surfaced, suggesting creative differences during the film’s production.
It has been reported that the believed Nigerian Filmmaker and actor, Kayode Peters, passed away while in Canada.
This information was confirmed by his family and friends who shared a post “Sad, kayode Peters, movie actor and producer passed away in Canada this morning. May his soul rest in perfect peace”.
Fans and Colleagues mourn the loss of their own and share heartfelt messages for the actor.
Nigerian Gospel Artist Israel Terhemba Ikyereve, popularly known by his stage name New Jerusalem, has reportedly passed away.
The late gospel singer passed away at the age of 53, friends and family as well as the government in Benue state mourns the loss of the singer.
The date of burial was also announced by his family, on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Sati Agirigi, Mbamo, Shitile, Katsina-Ala LGA of Benue State.

It can be noted that the singer passed away on the 12th of September, 2023. His reason for death was unclear and no details were found during the investigation. However many Nigerians believe it was an unfair death that has not been solved.
VeryDarkMan took to his official Instagram page to share “I’m bringing up Mohbad’s case deliberately because he hasn’t gotten justice.” “My problem with most of you is that you won’t calm down. Zlatan is still alive, wait for the next evidence.”
