Cha Eunwoo Says a Tearful Goodbye as He Begins Military Service
South Korean singer and actor Cha Eunwoo officially began his mandatory military service on July 28, 2025. The ASTRO member entered quietly, with no major fanfare, but left a heartfelt message that has moved fans around the world.
Before enlisting, Eunwoo held a private farewell live stream where he thanked his fans, known as Aroha, for their support throughout the years. He promised to stay strong, serve well, and return healthier and better. The emotional moment brought many to tears as Eunwoo tried to smile through his own visible emotions.
The 27-year-old star will be serving in the military band, and his expected discharge date is January 27, 2027. Fans have flooded social media with messages of encouragement, love, and promises to wait for him.
Fantagio, his management agency, confirmed his enlistment and asked for fans’ understanding and continued support. Although the location and time of his enlistment were not made public to maintain privacy and security, fans showed their love through online tributes, fan art, and compilation videos of his best moments.
Eunwoo has had a packed schedule leading up to his enlistment, including concerts, variety shows, acting roles, and endorsements. His most recent projects include the K-drama Wonderful World and his solo music debut, both of which received warm receptions.

It can be noted that the singer took to social media asking for a graphic designer to create a flyer, which later turned into a challenge that many criticised, stating it undervalued creatives.
Moses Bliss has now issued an apology, saying “I sincerely apologize to every graphic designer who felt disrespected or undervalued… that was never my intention.”
He added “The goal was to give creatives a platform to showcase their work, not to undermine their value.”
