Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille is eyeing a loan move for Sevilla striker Kelechi Iheanacho for the remainder of the season.

Iheanacho, who joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer, has struggled to make an impact at the club, and Sevilla is now open to letting him leave this month.

He has had limited opportunities to shine at the Spanish side, leading to the club’s decision to allow him to seek a fresh challenge.

Meanwhile, Sevilla made a move of their own this week, signing Iheanacho’s fellow Nigerian, Jerome Akor Adams, from Montpellier. This signing may have further complicated Iheanacho’s position at Sevilla.

Reports from France indicate that Iheanacho is considering his options, with Marseille emerging as a top contender for his signature.

The French club has reportedly made contact with both Sevilla and the striker, signaling their interest in securing his services.

Cristiano Ronaldo has vowed to defend Portugal’s badge for the rest of his life. Speaking at a press conference before Portugal’s Nations League quarter-final second leg against Denmark on Sunday, Ronaldo made it clear that winning matters more to him than personal glory.

Portugal lost the first leg 1-0 at Parken on Thursday, but Ronaldo stressed that his focus is on helping the team succeed, no matter who scores.

“It’s not about me scoring. I just want Portugal to win. If we win and I don’t even play, I’ll take that,” Ronaldo said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

“My focus has always been on defending my country’s badge until I die. I’d be happy if we win tomorrow and someone else gets the goal.” Ronaldo has scored a record-breaking 135 goals for Portugal since his debut in 2003.
