Jisoo Performs Earthquake on Inkigayo Following Her New Album Release
On February 16, 2025, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo wowed fans with a stunning performance of her new song Earthquake on SBS’s Inkigayo. This was her only live music show performance for her debut mini-album AMORTAGE, which dropped on February 14.
Jisoo’s stage presence and vocals impressed viewers, and social media quickly filled with clips and reactions. Fans were especially excited when Rosé showed up to support her, and the two even joined the Earthquake challenge together.
AMORTAGE explores themes of love and relationships, with Earthquake as the main track. Jisoo co-wrote all the songs, working with producers Blissoo and The Wavys. This album is also her first project under her own label, Blissoo, after parting ways with YG Entertainment’s music division.
Besides music, Jisoo has been making impact in acting. She recently wrapped up filming for Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint alongside Lee Min Ho and Ahn Hyo Seop. She is also set to star in Boyfriend On Demand with Seo In Guk and is currently appearing in the drama Newtopia.
Jisoo is now preparing for her Lights, Love, Action tour, which kicks off on March 14, 2025, in the Philippines.

The singer took to social media and urged the government “TO MR PRESIDENT. IF YOU REALLY, TRULY WANNA END INSECURITY IN NIGERIA? Start by increasing the salary and allowances of the armed forces. The salary of the army, the navy, the air force, the Nigerian Police Force is too small, too shameful. Increase their salary, this job should be worth dying for. Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye from the former duo P-Square, shares his greatest fear. During a recent interview, the singer spoke about his fears and revealed that he is not afraid of death.
Instead, he said he is scared of poverty and has this fear because he has experienced it before. “I am not afraid of death. The only thing I am afraid of in this life is poverty, of being broke.
“I have tasted it [poverty] before. I have been in our house with my parents and siblings, and a bulldozer came and demolished it.”

Davido Honors Wizkid’s Late Mother With Moment of Silence on Stage
Popular Nigerian singer, Davido, makes headlines for his gesture of goodwill. It can be noted that during the afternoon performance, the singer paused for one minute of silence to honor his colleague Wizkid’s mother.
The singer paused during his performance and said “Personally, I have lost many loved ones, people close to me, so I understand how Wizkid is feeling right now. May his mother, our mother because she was dear to me, rest in peace.”
This gesture touched many fans, as they were in awe of the singer showing a kind heart despite the usual rivalry between their fan bases.
