Lagos State Launches Projects to Improve Safety and Health in Makoko
It has been revealed that Lagos State has officially heard the cries of the people of Makoko and has started out projects to support the people and make the area more safety-conscious. They plan to enhance the safety and health of the environment.
This was revealed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who shared that the state will begin providing support for targeted families and people in the state who need assistance.
“While rules must be enforced, the government also has a responsibility to show understanding and provide support,” the Lagos State governor shared.
He added that this support will help encourage and protect lives and buildings, as well as save communities.

Federal Government Declares March 19 and 20 Public Holidays for Eid al-Fitr
Federal Government in Nigeria has declared March 19th and 20th as public holidays for the end of Ramadan.
This was revealed by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. He made this announcement on behalf of the Federal Government.
He wished Muslims a joyful Eid al-Fitr celebration.

President Tinubu Departs for London Amid Ongoing Fuel Crisis
It has been reported that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed to London.
The Nigerian leader is travelling ahead of a state visit to the United Kingdom. The purpose of this visit is to strengthen bilateral relations and explore avenues for collaboration on issues such as immigration, trade, investment, and cultural exchange.

The president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, shared updates on the state of the economy and shared good news stating that there is a rise in financial stability.
He shared that some states can now pay salaries without borrowing money.
It is noted that this change is significant over the past years of states borrowing money.
Back then the states struggled to pay and meet their needs, but are doing better now and the struggles have reduced, stating that the state of the economy is getting better.
