Lagos State Launches Projects to Improve Safety and Health in Makoko
It has been revealed that Lagos State has officially heard the cries of the people of Makoko and has started out projects to support the people and make the area more safety-conscious. They plan to enhance the safety and health of the environment.
This was revealed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who shared that the state will begin providing support for targeted families and people in the state who need assistance.
“While rules must be enforced, the government also has a responsibility to show understanding and provide support,” the Lagos State governor shared.
He added that this support will help encourage and protect lives and buildings, as well as save communities.

LIRS Extends Tax Filing Deadline to April 14
It has been reported that the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service, LIRS, has granted grace to its people as they extend the deadline for the tax filing.
It can be revealed that originally the deadline is meant to be March 31st but the LIRS later stepped out and moved the deadline to April 14th, 2026.
The agency has granted this extension in timeline to help individuals properly and accurately fill their taxes.

Christian Association of Nigerians Reacts to Jos Attack on Palm Sunday
The Christian Association of Nigerians (CAN) reacts to the terrible news of the attack in Jos which even occurred on Palm Sunday.
It can be noted that the attack occurred in Angwan Rukuba, Gari Ya Waye area of Jos North, Plateau State.
The association cried out that a day meant for peace became bloodshed.
“We mourn. We grieve. But we must also speak the truth. How did we get here? How is it that people can no longer feel safe in their own homes? How is it that, even on a sacred day, communities are left exposed to such terror? Nigerians are tired of mourning. Nigerians are tired of statements.”
