Obi Claims There Are More “Yahoo Boys” in Tinubu’s Government Than Outside
Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s government, claiming that there are more “Yahoo boys” in the government than outside it.
Speaking at the fourth graduation ceremony of Nexford University, Obi lamented that corruption within the government has turned Nigeria into a “crime scene,” with those in power exploiting the system for personal gain.
He pointed out that while many focus on the actions of internet fraudsters, or “Yahoo boys,” in society, the real issue lies within the government.
“There are more Yahoo people in government than there are outside,” he said. “We have turned the entire country into a crime scene where both those inside and outside the government are stealing.”
“It’s about leadership, it’s about igniting the future. It’s not rocket science, but it’s difficult. It’s about having strong character and the ability to do the right thing,” he added.

Analyst Says Tinubu Not Responsible for Recent U.S.-Linked Airstrike Claims
Nigerian news analyst, Mahmud Jega, has shared his opinion on the recent airstrike carried out by the United States in Nigeria, stating that Nigerians should not blame President Bola Tinubu for the incident.
Jega made this statement during a recent interview, where he said he does not believe many people will hold the Tinubu administration responsible, as Donald Trump had issued threats against Nigeria long before Tinubu’s administration.
“No, I don’t think many people will blame the Tinubu administration for what is happening now because President Donald Trump, when he first made the threats, it was clearly not in coordination with the Tinubu administration or the government of Nigeria,” Jega said.
