Taiwo Oyedele Says Tax Returns Submission Is Compulsory for Nigerians
Chairman of the fiscal policy and tax reforms, Taiwo Oyedele, speaks on tax and shared that Nigerians must submit their tax returns, stating it’s compulsory for individuals and employers.
This was stated at an online session, “
“In terms of filing returns, you need to file annual returns as employers for your employees. Many of you must have done that already.
“If you haven’t, you have just a couple of days left to file those returns, including projections of how much you will pay your staff.”

Federal Government Declares March 19 and 20 Public Holidays for Eid al-Fitr
Federal Government in Nigeria has declared March 19th and 20th as public holidays for the end of Ramadan.
This was revealed by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. He made this announcement on behalf of the Federal Government.
He wished Muslims a joyful Eid al-Fitr celebration.

He shared that some states can now pay salaries without borrowing money.
It is noted that this change is significant over the past years of states borrowing money.
Back then the states struggled to pay and meet their needs, but are doing better now and the struggles have reduced, stating that the state of the economy is getting better.
