Vinícius Júnior Plans to Buy a Football Club in Portugal’s Second Division
Real Madrid winger Vinícius Júnior is reportedly exploring the possibility of purchasing a football club in Portugal’s second division, according to ESPN.
The 24-year-old Brazilian is looking to expand his business ventures as he plans for life after his playing career.
Vinícius already has a range of personal sponsorship deals, including a long-term partnership with Nike that will run until 2028.
His representation by Roc Nation also provides him access to a network of top athletes from other sports, notably the NBA and NFL, helping to diversify his business interests even further.
The Portuguese second division consists of 18 teams, including the reserve sides of giants like Benfica and Porto.
Clubs like Portimonense are already seeing ownership from Brazilian figures, with Rodiney Sampaio at the helm of the club.

It has been reported that a four-year ban has been placed on Chelsea’s player, Mykhailo Mudryk, for anti-doping violations.
The player appealed in court on February 25 but has now been handed his punishment, which is a four-year ban from football.
It can be recalled that his last appearance on the field was on November 28, 2024.
