Ini Edo Explains Why She Chose Surrogacy Over Carrying Her Baby Herself
Nollywood actress Ini Edo has opened up about her decision to opt for surrogacy instead of carrying her baby herself.
During the third season of the reality show Young Famous and African, she shared the personal reasons behind her choice while interacting with her co-stars.
Ini Edo revealed that she had faced challenges with carrying pregnancies, which led her to explore alternative options.
When asked about her daughter’s paternity and her relationship status, the actress confirmed she is raising her child alone and is not currently married or in a relationship with her daughter’s father.
She explained that at the time she wanted to have a child, there was no man in her life, and after facing fertility issues, she realized that surrogacy was the best option for her.
“I never thought I would have fertility issues. But when it became clear that I couldn’t carry a pregnancy long term, and knowing that I wasn’t getting younger, I considered my options. Surrogacy was one of them, and I’m very happy with my decision,” Ini Edo shared.
